Carson City was my destination too! (Fandango, man!), and the Inspector (near Topaz Lake) wanted to give my smart car "a quiz". Smart liked the Eastern Sierra, and vice verse!

I've driven from Austin, TX to Los Angeles, CA and back twice in the last year - 6000 miles or so - no issues. Had mine since April 2008 and am close to hitting 20000 miles, still running like a champ. :)

Round trip to Las Vegas this weekend, over a thousand miles. Attended "Hoover Dam photo op" with Jimmy and the sincity smart club. Convoy to the Dam with 70 other smarts was a kick in the ..... I can't remember having soooo much fun. The car was comfortable, good tunes, stayed up with the flow of traffic (usually 70 mph) up and down the mountains easily! Coming home I hit some hard rain and windy mountain passes that moved me around a more than I liked, but nothing that made the truckers nervous. Check out the picture.

I drove from Calera, Alabama to Indianapolis, IN then on to Elkhorn, WI and back the same way. Best mpg was 47.8 I think it was a total of 1,870 miles of driving on that trip with sight seeing and all.
