I saw the show, but I thought the car looked better before they customized it. The color made it look smaller and cheep. Still was good press and she liked it. Tear down was fun to watch. I was going to turn it off untill the smart car drove up.

I don't think it could happen. Even if a high concentration of hydrogen gas could build up with the wrong battery, and the vent hole was plugged in the bottom of the battery hold. You would need a source of ignition like a spark. It could be done bu…
My 2009 Brabus came with the 61AH battery. I think the 42AH battery is a little small, even for a car with less options.

":i'll call you when it's here". could be in 10 min. or could be in a week. nobody knows?????? way back on 12/9 when i got the 90day email from smart the dealer checked and came up with a build date of 12/22 and eta of 2/1. pretty close huh. a whole lot of sitting around and waiting fgor both the car and me. great talking to you again. call you when i get it. bud

- hi not so, my dde still says jan14 to apr14 which has not changed since feb5th. i think this tells me it has been shipped but i still have not heard officially from the dealer. probably will this week. since you have your vin# have you tracked it? which ship? when does it arrive in balto? hopefully i'm on the same boat. thanks and i'll let you know of any progress. keep in touch, bud

smarts are rather stiffly sprung, i sold a mercedes 190E that i drove for the last year when my smart arrived. the two are entirely different creatures.
the benz is a mini land yacht, power everything and leather lined, smooth riding and made to cruise at 100+mph.
the smart is mainly an urban animal, made to dart about in tight traffic. i think i'll make another reservation soon, try for a Brabus :D
i hope you get yours soon, they're a blast to drive!
