How I decide to test drive a Smart and buy one!
In early 2006 while my wife was working 2 days a week in Detroit, I decided to tag along with a mission. Knowing the Smart was already for sale in Canada, I Googled the local Smart dealer, mapped the location and headed through the tunnel on my quest for a test drive. i used to have a geo metro, and would lock a set of keys in the car, carry house and car keys in my wallet, just in case i lost the other set while travelling, smart keys are an arm and a leg to get spares made, and are LARGE (not wallet friendly).…
LOL, sorry, learn something new everyday, if you're not careful! probably the 10mph "auto-lock" feature kicked in. i've found the only other way (so far) to lock the keys in the car is by locking the doors from the outside and tossing the keys throu…
I left the ignition on to tow my Smart Car a short way on a car dolly. Do not do this with the windows up. The doors automatically lock!
It took me two hours to figure out how to get in without damabing the car.
