Just reiterating what Ian stated, yes... disconnect the battery. If you don't, it may trigger your air bag light, THEN you will have to go back to the dealer to get that reset and that part will cost you even more money ;-) Glad to know…

Thanks  for sharing your experience. Our roads looked like they have been shelled also!

I live in Beirut, Lebanon and I am sure the roads are worse than any place on the planet! My Smart is doing very well amd i often check the suspension, you will be surprised by how solid it is! So dont worry! ;) PS: the smart is relatively light…

Suspension Wear and Tear

I love my smartcar but the Boston roads are brutal on it. I have fallen into so many caves on these roads. My question is, although I think the car is steering, running fine (no vibration or drift), I am wondering should I have the suspension checked out periodically? One night I hit a bump on one of those lower deck bridges (I couldn't see it coming) and it knocked my entertainment center off.

Oh Joy! Just what I wanted to hear; a safety issue to boot. First of all, I hate those flimsy plastic caps. They are hard to get on and off and if you drop them, just try to find them on the pavement!! I have had problems with getting them off; had…

Take a deep breath. This issue can be frustrating. Take the belt out of the guide then play with it with only a short lenght. It might take a bit but this has always wored for me. I rarely have a passenger so it is frustrating.

My neighbor just recently fished out my earring. I am so HAPPY!  I am going to try to find some black foam to shove in between the driver seat and the non-console so I won't lose anything else in the bottomless pit.

I can't get your link to work. I had issues with the defroster on the back window and they hassled me about fixing it. That ticked me off. Other than that, they had to replace the blower motor (should be a recall on that!) and I all of a sudden…

Hi Smart car folks
The first Mass Smart car rally will be October 4th. Start point is Christ Church United, aka The Yellow Meeting House, in Dracut Center, 10 Arlington Street, Dracut, Ma. Meeting time is 10:30 am we will meet and mingle for a while, then head out for coffee, travel along Rt. 133 checking out foliage. Rt 133 goes all the way to Rockport, there are shops, antique stores, etc. We will be stopping at "The Clam Box" in Ipswich for lunch, they are a CASH only establishment. This is a fun run and we have no set schedule, so stopping at your favorite spot is great. The rally will end in Rockport, Ma., at this point, spend time in town or just make tracks for home.
Being the 1st Rally, anything goes, the start time is 10:30, I think...lunch will be about 12:00-1:00 ish Remember CASH only eatery! 1:00-2:30 check out shops, and end the rally in Rockport.
Lets all get together and have a good time, chat, and enjoy the day.

If you have any question please give me a call @ 978-265-6647.

Thanks David Mayall Red Passion Cabriolet Convertible aka "RUBY"
