Here is how it works: have the smart integration kit for the iPhone fitted in your smart fortwo, load the smart drive app for the iPhone on your iPhone, put it in the cradle, launch the app – and away you go! All the important features you need when driving your car are combined in a single app: listen to your favorite music or web radio stations, identify songs, make phone calls, see your position on the map, search for gas stations and restaurants, and more.
***There has been a great deal of confusion regarding this accessory. Here are the facts:
1. The current cradle/integration kit will only integrate the iPhone 3GS. Yes, other iPhones will plug into it but all the features included in the downloaded application from iTunes will NOT work (music and phone for sure).
2. The application downloaded from iTunes will load onto the 3GS and 4G phone but only the 3GS will integrate fully all of the applications features to the smart radio through the smart cradle/integration kit.
3. A $10 iTunes gift card comes with the purchase of the integration kit.
4. Installation is required.
