This can happen to anyone. BTH exhaust just broke up. The welds were not good enough and the next thing I heard driving on the road was a dragging sound. Stoped and checked and this is what I saw. Before you upgrade your exhaust and pay tons of money for it check and see how well the exhaust is build.
Are Breathless going to replace it under warranty?
... and will you feel confident that a replacement will not fail in the same way?
(Gives meaning to the phrase: "boat anchor")
Are Breathless doing a recall?
Many a time in the US, I was dodging debris on the interstates... even a refrigerator (!). Having an exhaust drop off a smart and cause a crash is not a nice picture.
Yes we have to be careful when buying aftermarket upgrades. This is a problem that can cause deaths and crashes on the road. Breathless should look into it and do a recall.

I have had a breathless exhaust for over a year. How long did you have yours on before it broke??
Is there any action I can take before it happens to me?
I was already thinking of getting a new exhaust with a flex joint.
Breathless will you work with me?
If anyone is thinking of getting an exhaust to replace this we have just received the new SOLO side exit exhaust. Very reasonable pricing (380) and it is quieter than just about any of the exhausts out there except the REMUS BUT it still gives you the power improvement. It also exits in the stock location so you dont have to cut the valance.
That being said if anyone already has a cut valance we have replacement valances available at the shop. If anyone has any questions please drop me a line at the shop.
i got a 1000KG (2200LB) scissor jack on ebay for about $22 (w/shipping). i'm thinking about that 3" lift kit madness will sell next month, looks interesting... maybe 4 rear wheels and 205/65-15's (or something a little bigger) might work... gettin...
