Hi all,
Has anyone else had a very noisy and slowed down ventilation fan?
Might be something like a leaf stuck in it, but how do you get to it to clear it out?
Any suggestions welcome.
Thanks, I took out the pollen filter and there was a bit of dust that came out, but all else is as you say, totally inaccessible. Will book in for a dealer to have a look!
I've had three heater/air conditioner fans fail over the years, all of them with squirrel cage fans and all in Toyotas. In each case, the fan sounded like there was a piece of paper or a leaf caught in the housing and rubbing against the fan. However, in each case, there was no obstruction but rather a fan motor that was going out.

Strangely although there was no immediate change, when I drove a few miles this morning and tried the fan everything was OK.
I must have cleared something with my fiddling about with the polen filter.
I'll tell them next time it has a service.
Tried the auto to manual and back to auto by holding the right side paddle and yes that worked so I guess all my questions have been answered Thanks all.
