smart pure

hello everyone, ive owned my smart for 3 years now without any problems, its been a gr8 little car and has never let me down, until recently ive noticed that its started using more and more oil. im using 10w40s i believe this is the right grade, where do's the oil go? it dosnt leak, the engine is bone dry under neath Can anyone tell me if u can use aditives to the oil as to help slow down the consumption of oil. thanks

1) do this first to see if this helps
Pennzoil Ultra 0W-40 (use this for a Oil change to clean-up the Oil control Rings that get Gummed Up...

2)sure you can try a additive at this step to see if it helps
3) if you start up in the morning and see a puff of smoke, and then clears up after a while, its Valve guide seals (oil has drained down the valve guides over night)(you will still be losing oil as you drive, but not see it combusting with the fuel in small quanitities)
4) they make a special KIT for these engines: Oil control Rings & bottom end bearings (bottom end bearings get warn and throw to much oil, flooding the Oil Rings... 90 Sterling for parts & Engine tear down...
5) new engine ~ 3500 sterling (go buy a new car with that money instead)

Left front goes on my '09 too. What's up with that? I fixed it once by seating the wiring harness, but this time do dice. Perhaps we can identify a service bulletin issue of we get enough repsonses.
