Hello Tony,

The bulbs will start blinking faster after 10-20 seconds as they will with all LED and SMD bulbs since they draw less current.

In regards to the White bulbs. Yes, some municipalities may frown on this, but most do not seem to have an issue. All LED and SMD Bulbs are sold under the category of "For Offroad and Show Use Only". We have them on our smart cars and have had many, many customers install them on their own cars without issues.

There are variations in laws in different states. Some may frown and some never question it. That is why we tell folks to check their local laws and decide for themselves whether or not this is a mod they want to perform.

Great video Clyde. It seems you installed clear (white) bulbs instead of amber. Some municipalities frown on this. I also seemed to observe that yours blinked at normal speed. How?

Jill I just checked the NHTSA web site where official recalls for the USA would be found. The only recall for smart affected 43 cars and was for paint problems. Where did you hear there is a recall and for what specifically?
