451 smart fortwo

Ok, I know the smart is rated for an octane rating of 95, minimum 91 (or 92). Today was the first day I have found an octane rating of 94 (usually 92 or 91 is premium here). Of course I thought, why not give it a try, it's only $0.03 more a liter, and if it drops the km/100 L, then I'm game.
Anyone out there got milage ratings for their octane rating for their smart?
Just curious
Susan
PS - my two labs just love the back of the smart - they nap, stretch out, and even pop up at key moment to amaze trucks behind me...

Mileage and acceleration will improve with premium.

i haven't noticed much of a mpg difference so far, i use 93 and 87 octanes. i installed a scan gauge 2 months ago, milage goes down when it's colder. on my stop and go commute a few days ago when it was 58F outside i got 46mpg, at 5F the same commute gets 38mpg. a recent highway trip at 28F was 49mpg, i'll do the trip again next tuesday, it's supposed to be in the 60's.

it's easier to turbo, there is almost no room for a s/c and greater future potential with the turbo... i have owned several both turbo and supercharged cars... my turbo smart can make max boost @ 2000rpm, with such small turbos there is no s...

Maybe it's on the same boat as my Brabus the "INDEPENDENCE ll" Due to dock at BALTIMORE, MD on 2/1512009. If you can get your VIN # you could check and see like I did.

These guys have a stage 1 and stage 2 Turbo. Nicely done.

This is very cool, but I think the answer is to Supercharge instead of Turbo. Instant power - no spool-up, and great economy boost. My other car has one and I love it. It's a full size (big) car, and last weekend I got 28.7mpg.Wish I could ge...
