My Smart is making a tapping noise when the car is idleing, called dealer said that they all do this .Any imput on this?

- Yup, mine does the same. Not always but sometimes. Dealer said it was normal. It is only a 3 banger and not big at that so I just act like I am driving an HD and don't worry about it. LOL

- I took my car back to dealers after complaining,they adjuster charcoal canister and eliminated about 80% noise.
