Hi Ron,
Frankly, I think that getting a second set of rears is the most cost effective way to handle "the wavy's". I almost did that myself.
However, I sucked out and got these SMARTIES by Team Dynamics. New for 2009 - made in England. The tires are Yokohama S-Drives. 195-45R16 on the front, 215-40R16 on the rear.
Having less sidewall cushion is a factor, I suppose, and hard bumps are hard, however the extra width reduces the tendency of the tire to drop into the pot holes. And here's another noticeable difference: You know how when you are cornering on rough pavement, and the wheels lose "Sync", the computer reduces the throttle and arms the ABS and ESP systems until traction is regained? Well, these gummy little tires hang on a little better, so the computers let you keep power applied without stepping in quite as often. Does that make sense?
I am careful not to pinch the sidewall while backing, however the S-Drives have a nice little shoulder for protection of tire and wheel.

Philly. Had the new windshield for nearly 2 months now. We've had a lot of rain here, and haven't had any problems at all. good as new

That would be nice but that's not the case here in California. Did you have any problems with the replacement winshield or the install ? Was it a factory windshield ?

Since a lot of dealers have a Brabus or two in inventory now. I am thinking maybe the base price of $17,990.00. Then the buyer only has to pay their state sales tax plus tags. They will save dealer fees, plus the cost of freight and options on you...
