cabriolet shrinkage

Help, I have a 08 smart 4 two convertible. I love love love my little smart, but recently I discovered, I have a leak. Well, I took it in to Mercedes of Palm Beach, and for 135.00 they confirmed I do indeed have a leak, this was a diagnosis charge. They told me my convertible top shrunk. Can you believe that?
