Brought it home with a paper temp tag in the rear window. I now have received my Michigan plate and proceeded to try and mount it. I was told by the dealer(s) that the car has no rear bracket. It also has no indication of where you would drill to mount the US style plate. I can see the pair of dimples in the rear deck for the European number plate. Now I am a stickler for detail, so drilling willy-nilly into my new car doesn't appeal to me. Here is my simple but somewhat involved solution. For around six bucks I got a universal license bracket at NAPA, NAPA number 730-5410 (Bell PN 46127-8). It is just a quarter inch think plastic slotted adapter plate. It comes with screws that are too long, which I saved for some other project. I drilled the two factory dimples in the rear deck to mount the bracket to the car. I ran a 1/4-20 tap through the adapter's four, plate mounting holes before mounting it to the car with shorter versions of the screws that came with the bracket. When you drill the holes you will understand why. After bolting the bracket to the deck where the factory intended, I bolted my license plate with 1/4-20 x 1/4" long fasteners. Voila, a little work, but I used the factory dimples and only drilled two holes in the car. And, it lines up with no measuring, eyeballing etc.
Here is a pic of the bracket.
